NBS Bank aims to be the fastest growing, innovative and responsive bank in Malawi. Digital technology is a key enabler to realise the envisioned growth and excellent user experience. To stay competitive in the market, NBS Bank needed a multi-year roadmap tailored for their IT to enhance reliability, security and agility of the IT foundation.

Partnering with Mobiquity and Rabo Partnerships enabled the creation of a cloud native mobile banking application on top of a modern architecture to ensure an always-on solution for customers. A digital strategy was developed to meet the ambitious goals such as to digitise 80% of all internal processes by 2022, to open 700,000 accounts through digital channels by 2022 and to have 90% of transactions digital by 2022.
