On November 14, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and TechGrounds announced the AWS re/Start program, a new approach to digital skills training in the Netherlands. AWS re/Start is a completely free of charge, full-time skills development and training program designed to prepare unemployed and underemployed individuals to start careers in the cloud, and to connect them with potential employers.
AWS has developed an extensive, tailored training program which focuses on necessary technical and soft skills needed to launch IT careers. Individuals who are part of the program complete 12 weeks of technical training sessions, taught by an accredited AWS instructor. Additionally, this program gives learners the practical support needed to move toward employment. With the facilitation of TechGrounds, a Dutch organization, which brings tech entrepreneurship and digital skills to vulnerable communities and neighborhoods, companies including Booking.com, PostNL, HEMA, Mobiquity, and Dept Agency are also onboard to help the learners.

AWS re/Start is a full-time, classroom-based skills development and training program that prepares individuals for careers in the cloud and connects them to potential employers. A technology background is not required to apply and the program is focused on unemployed or underemployed individuals, including military veterans and their families, and young people.
