And look, there are elements of truth to all of those. Digital transformation is hard, especially hard when your industry is steeped in tradition – both in its day-to-day operations and overall business model.

Life Sciences is one of those industries. It’s a traditional industry that has been very successful in its traditions. It’s also a heavily regulated industry, as you’d expect when dealing with people’s health.

It takes an immense amount of skill, strategy, and resolve to lead digital transformation in life sciences. Gerry McGoldrick from Merck and Brian Johnson from CSL Behring have all those qualities.
